The star of “Seinfeld”, “Dancing with the Stars”, and much more, comes to Cannon Beach direct from his sellout engagements in the famed musical “Chicago” on Broadway’s New York stage, for a performance of his one-man show at the Coaster Theatre on Saturday, September 8.

A MAN WITH STANDARDS is John O’Hurley’s 90-minute retrospective on the songs of The Great American Songbook along with the musings from his eclectic life and career.
John O’Hurley, one of America’s greatest, busiest and most versatile stars in entertainment, television, and more, is heading to Cannon Beach in September direct from the Broadway stage.
O’Hurley is taking a weekend away from his starring role and sellout crowds in Chicago, the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, to perform his award-winning one-man show, A Man with Standards, at Coaster Theatre on Saturday, September 8.
Humorous and poignant, his show brings back nostalgia in the voice of one of America’s greatest raconteurs. John delights his audiences with the colorful stories and songs of his youth, as well as revisiting his unforgettable moments on Seinfeld and Dancing With The Stars. The show has received universal praise for his retrospective of music of the Great American Songbook, as told by him in the perspective of his eclectic life and career, and has been nominated by BroadwayWorld for Best Show award.
His show demonstrates his versatility as a popular actor and television personality, as a Broadway star and advertising hero, and as one of People Magazine’s “Sexiest Men Alive.” His storytelling and musical talent reflect his status as well as a New York Times best-selling author (three books) and Billboard chart-topping composer (composer/pianist of two albums).
O’Hurley is best known as “J. Peterman” on Seinfeld which is now the #1 syndicated show in the world and can be seen in 85 countries. John won a Screen Actors Guild Award for his work on Seinfeld and his unique portrayal of the wry and witty “J. Peterman” led to dozens of advertising campaigns and industry awards.
He captured America’s heart with his turn on Season 1 of Dancing with the Stars, where he officially won the ABC series with the highly contested “Dance Off” and was named one of People Magazine’s, “Sexiest Men Alive”. O’Hurley is now the regular host of NBC Sports highest-rated yearly show, The National Dog Show presented by Purina, a 17-year Thanksgiving tradition seen by 30 million viewers, as well as The Beverly Hills Dog Show airing on Easter Sunday.
John was also host of the long-time popular game shows Family Feud and To Tell The Truth. His very recognizable voice can be heard as King Neptune on SpongeBob Square Pants and the Mayor on Disney’s hit Phineas and Ferb.
On Broadway and on stages across the country, he is best-known for his many performances as King Arthur on Monty Python’s Spamalot and his continuing portrayal of slick lawyer, Billy Flynn, in the Broadway legend Chicago, which earned him Best Actor status in the city of Chicago in 2011.
His unusual versatility as both entertainer and businessman continues to be the focus of many features in magazines like Business Week, Time and INC. Magazines. In addition, life imitates art for him as John is now the business partner in the J. Peterman Company, along with the real J. Peterman. He is the also co-founder of Energy-Inc., which has created a unique waste-to-energy technology used internationally.
