It’s been almost a week since we said goodbye to summer at the Coaster Theatre with the closing weekend of our 2016 summer repertory – 9 to 5: The Musical and Let’s Murder Marsha. It was a great summer at the theatre filled with wonderful audiences and amazing volunteer actors & show crews. Our summer repertory volunteer actors spend 6 months out of the year between rehearsals and performances. Some actors went from the spring show (The Apple Tree) to summer and others were rehearsing for our fall show (Don’t Dress for Dinner) while performing this summer! We are extremely blessed to have such a wonderful pool of actors who are willing to spend so much of their free time with us whether in a summer show or any show throughout the year.
While the sun has started to move a little further south in the sky, there is a slight nip in the air and those yellow buses have hit the streets – our thoughts move toward getting ready for opening night of our fall show – Don’t Dress for Dinner – opening Friday, September 23rd. Plus getting ready to rehearse the final show of 2016 – It’s A Wonderful Life. There’s never a dull moment around the Coaster Theatre!
Over the busy summer we have been gathering some fun and fabulous theatre related items that we found intriguing over the summer.
