The Astoria Tuba Quartet joins in the holiday festivities at the Coaster Theatre for an afternoon of traditional holiday favorites, in styles varying from traditional, to jazz, to downright silly fun. Tuba Quartet music is much more than “oom paa”. The sound is melodious, upbeat, and lively.
The Astoria Tuba Quartet is a group with a long history on the north Oregon coast. They were formed in the late 1970’s by founder Dennis Hale, who still performs with the group. The other members include Lee Stromquist, John Hammond, and Brian Bergman. They have performed at benefit concerts, festivals, private events, and even weddings and memorial services.
