David Saffert & Jillian Snow share the stage as Liberace & Liza Minnelli, creating an exhilarating afternoon of musical and comical fireworks. Saffert’s dizzying piano skills and Snow’s powerhouse belt team up in Cabaret, New York, New York, Over the Rainbow, The Man That Got Away plus surprise covers by Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. There are as many laughs as there are sequins when their Liberace & Liza take hilarious (and sometimes mischievous) turns vying for the spotlight. No matter what, they both come out winning and audiences are left in awe, humming and quoting a night they’ll not soon forget.
David Saffert as Liberace, like Liberace, is a classically trained pianist from Wisconsin. He has been seen on stage in sketch comedy, improv, solo piano concerts, and in his very own music & comedy variety shows. David has worked as a pianist (sans sequins) with such organizations as the Guthrie Theater (MN), Oregon Ballet Theatre, Portland Opera (OR), Oregon Symphony (OR), Portland Center Stage (OR), Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OR), and the Interlochen Arts Camp.
Jillian Snow as Liza Minnelli has been traveling across the country for almost a decade as a professional Liza Minnelli tribute artist. After graduating from performing arts college in New York City, the singer / actor / comedienne started showcasing Liza throughout the city before bringing her big voice home to Portland, Oregon.
Bo Ayars, Musical Director & Arranger, is quite proud of his 13 years as Music Director for legendary showman, Liberace, contributing his conducting and arranging talents to Lee’s worldwide live performances, TV specials, and recordings. At various times, Bo has been Music Director, Conductor, Arranger, Pianist, and Music Producer for several super-stars, including Liberace, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Rachel Welch, and Jim Nabors.
