THE ULTIMATE GAME OF CAT-AND-MOUSE
The ultimate game of cat and mouse is played out in a cozy English country house owned by celebrated mystery writer, Andrew Wyke. Invited guest Milo Tindle, a young rival who shares Wyke’s love for games, declares his intention to run off with Wyke’s wife. The two men devise an elaborate revenge/power game; through their style and cunning, the stakes continue to rise, leading to the play’s inexorable, heart-stopping finish.
CAUTIONS: If this were a movie it would be rated PG-13. Sleuth includes adult themes and adult language. As this play was written in 1970, there is also some imagery and language that some may find offensive. Due to its integrity to the plot and character motivation, and restrictions by the publisher to make changes to licensed material, it has not been removed from our show. Teens who watch prime-time TV won’t see much to shock them but depending on the personality and exposure of your younger children, they may be confused. Your own judgment is the best guide for your family.
