“Shelly Rudolph is a captivating and robust vocalist…Tom Grant is at the top of his game.” – Jazz Times
Tom Grant and Shelly Rudolph have been delighting audiences in their native Pacific Northwest for nearly a decade with an infectious mix of jazz, soul and pop. They share an inescapable chemistry and charm that are obvious from the very first note. Their vocal duets are sexy and sweet and Shelly’s sultry vocals are well supported by Tom’s tasteful piano playing. As a jazz pianist Tom has toured the world with giants such as Tony Williams, Joe Henderson and Charles Lloyd. While earning highest honors as a sideman, it was Tom’s own chart-topping albums of the 1980s and 90s that gave momentum to the movement later dubbed as smooth jazz. Following his 2009 release, Life is Good, Tom was heralded to be at “the top of his game” by Jazz Times magazine.
Shelly’s singing voice has a honey sweet richness that she uses with incredible power and musical depth. The Oregonian has described her as the “little singer with the big voice” and she is often likened to singers from Bonnie Raitt to Norah Jones. Shelly has performed and recorded with a wide range of successful talents such as Ken Stange (Joe Cocker), Dave Matthews (Etta James, Santana) & 2010 Grammy Award winner David Darling.
