The Coaster Theatre Playhouse is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patrons, staff, volunteers and anyone else who visits the theatre. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep our patrons informed via this page, Facebook and our email newsletter of any changes. This page will be updated as new information is available during this unprecedented time.
COVID-19 UPDATE
As of 02/28/21
As spring approaches, we hope to welcome our volunteers and audiences back to the theatre sometime this year with widely available vaccines and reduced community spread of the virus. In the meantime, the staff, board of directors and committee members are working hard to create a season of virtual and (hopefully) live performances.
It’s been almost a year since Coaster Theatre Playhouse closed due to COVID-19, and we have remained closed as we navigate this global pandemic. During this time we have focused on some internal projects and recently launched our Patreon page and prepared to digitize and archive our 48-year history. We also dipped our toes into virtual streaming with our holiday production of The Coaster Theatre Radio Hour Presents Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and our recent revival of Don’t Fear Shakespeare (In the Park) in partnership with KMUNtv.
If you would like to support the theatre during this difficult time, please consider a tax-deductible donation to the theatre, grab some Coaster Theatre gear to show your support or purchase a theatre seat through our Take-A-Seat program. You can also join us on Patreon, sponsor a future season/production or purchase a gift certificate for a future show or season. No amount is too small; your financial assistance at this time can help secure the future of the Coaster Theatre.
If you are unable to give help financially, you can also help by sharing your love for the Coaster Theatre by following us on Facebook or Instagram. Help us spread the word by continuing to share, comment and like our posts.
Your support matters more now than ever, and we look forward to sharing live theatre with you as soon as we are able.
We planned to attend the June 19th performance. Now that it is cancelled do we get at credit sent to us, being that we will not be able to visit Cannon Beach in the near future.
